An Evening of Fine Arts and Classical Music
On Saturday, 22 January 2011, the German Ambassador Dr. Guenter Gruber welcomed over 150 guests in his residence for an evening of fine arts and classical music. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the New Year with VIPs, diplomats, Malaysian and German friends of the Embassy.
The pianists Evelyn Hii (founder of No Black Tie) and Mei Lin Hii (Winner of the Roy Rubinstein Award for outstanding woman pianist) performed a dazzling piano programme, consisting of works for the piano by Bach and Brahms.
The guests were thrilled by the music, which put them in the right mood to enjoy the second part of the evening: the exhibition of paintings by Brigitte and Azzudin Shahabudin under the motto "Myths". The paintings were greatly admired by the guests during the reception, which took place after the concert.
