Energy Efficiency Award 2011
Companies from trade and industry which have implemented innovative, exemplary measures to increase energy efficiency are invited to take part in the international Energy Efficiency Award 2011 competition. The competition is being held by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) - the German Energy Agency - in cooperation with Deutsche Messe. The prize money amounts to a total of 30,000 Euro.
On 23 February 2010 the Deputy Minister of Finance II, Senator Datuk Dr. Awang, and the German Ambassador, Dr. Guenter Gruber, signed an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income (DTA).
The Double Taxation agreement entered into force on December 21, 2010 and will be applied as of January 1, 2011.
