"This is the backbone of the German Economy and a reason for the success of German industry". Ambassador Dr. Gruber was enthusiastic about the visit of A&H Meyer, a forceful representative of the German Mittelstand - the SMEs of Germany. The company is a specialist for office wiring systems and in that area global market leader, another hidden champion amongst the German companies in Malaysia.
As the first foreign subsidiary, the Malaysian company now covers most of Asia-Pacific und further regions in the world. Opening a subsidiary company in Malaysia - the second largest producer of office furniture in Asia - has paid off. The German head of the company, Horst Meyer, his wife, and the MD of the Malaysian company, Peter Lenhardt, briefed the visitors on founding a company abroad and the details of production.
