Healthcare: A Growth Market in Southeast Asia

Ambassador Dr. Guenter Gruber and Deputy Health Minister, Datuk Rosnah bt. Abd. Rashid Shirlin, visited the Southeast Asian Healthcare Show on the first day of the trade fair. Each year, the show attracts about 150 exhibitors and 4000 professional visitors.
One highlight of the exhibition was the German Pavilion with nine participating German companies. The trade fair organiser had also flown in three German experts, who conducted workshops.
The Malaysian healthcare market is seeing increasing interest from overseas companies, which would like to position themselves in this growing field. Malaysia is also successfully promoting the country in the health tourism sector.
