German Business Roundtable - An Introduction to the Car Manufacturer Bufori
The first Roundtable function of the year was held at the Residence of the German Ambassador. The star of the evening was the Bufori car parked in the Residence's driveway.
Mr. Felix Haller, General Manager - Marketing & International Business Development of Bufori carmakers, gave a short presentation about the originally Australia-based manufacturer, which relocated to Malaysia upon invitation by then PM Dr. Mahathir Mohamed in 1994. The company hand manufactures automobiles in the classical style of the 1930s at its factory in Kepong/Kuala Lumpur.
Ambassador Dr. Günter Gruber welcomed the almost 40 participants - Germans working at German, Malaysian and International companies - and Economic Counsellor Dr. Ernst Röder-Messell gave a short review of past and future events of the Economic Department.
The next Roundtable event is planned for the beginning of April.
