MGCC Office Opening Ceremony
In the afternoon of 16 February 2017, Minister of International Trade and Industry, Y.B. Dato’ Seri Mustapa Mohamed, together with Ambassador Holger Michael and the MGCC President Datuk Robert Teo graced the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening of the new offices of the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Menara Hap Seng 2. The MGCC had moved to their new premises at the end of December 2016.
The event was a huge success, where – after the official part of the afternoon had been accomplished – MGCC members and invited guests had the change to mingle, network and get a first impression of the new modern facilities.
The VIPs stressed in their speeches that the bilateral economic relations between Germany and Malaysia have been continuously strong and supportive. Minister Mustapa said, that Malaysia is looking forward to more investment from Germany.
MGCC Executive Director Daniel Bernbeck mentioned that while he was packing up his office, he found the plaque of the MGCC office opening from 1992, which was officiated by then Trade Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz. The newly polished plaque now occupies a place of honor in his new office.
