Tees, Putts and OBs: The German Ambassador's 5th Golf Tournament
For “real” golfers, waking up early is not a problem at all, when there is a round of golf to be played.
So at 6 o’ clock in the morning of 17 May 2012, all the 130 participants of the fifth "German Ambassador’s Golf Cup" arrived on time at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Shah Alam for an exciting day of golf. Registration, breakfast, group photo, and off they went, with Ambassador Dr. Gruber teeing off with a long, straight shot to officially open the competition.
All of the part-time pro and hobby golfers gave their best, driving, hitting, pitching and putting, fighting hard for the Champion’s Trophy, which was won by Dato’ Peppe Foo, who played for Siemens.
The lively Prize Giving Dinner took place at the German Residence in the evening of the same day, where the trophies were awarded and many lucky draw winners walked away happily with great prizes, like an iPad3, an Emirates ticket to Europe or a bracelet by OE, just to name a few.
The German Ambassador’s Golf Cup sees representatives of German companies playing with their invited Malaysian guests, which gives everybody a great opportunity to network. The Ambassador's Golf Cup has become a very much anticipated yearly event, which many golfers are eagerly looking forward to.
Thank you to all the participating German companies, and jumpah lagi next year for another round of golf!
