A Visa is required if you have the intention to stay more than 90 days in Germany, you intend to study or seek employment.
As a rule, the processing of the visa application takes 2 to 3 months.

Important:

It is not possible to enter Germany as a tourist or business traveller first and then apply for a residence permit in Germany.

Residence Permits can only be issued based on an existing Visa.

The Visa can only be obtained in Kuala Lumpur for applicants living in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.

Do not travel before you have obtained your visa!

You may take the risk of being sent back to Malaysiato obtain a visa.

Note:

Your application can only be accepted if all requested documents are submitted.

A Visa will be issued for a period of three months. The actual residence permit will be issued by the relevant German authorities after you have settled in Germany.

Calls requesting the visa status will not be answered by telephone.

Application rules and Basic Documents required for all cases:

- Valid passport

- 2 application forms duly completed

- 2 passport photographs.
  Only photos with a grey or white background will be accepted. Please also check the         requirements for passport photos!

- Visa fee 60,- Euro, payable in Ringgit Malaysia only (cash)


Please note that visa applications have to be made personally and may not be presented via fax, e-mail etc. All necessary documents should be handed in as originals plus 2 photocopies.
