I.
If Malaysian personal documents (such as birth or marriage certificates) are to be submitted to German authorities, the following steps must be taken in order for those documents to be recognised:

1. The respective document must be legalised by the Consular Section of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) in Putrajaya:

2. The document must then be legalised by the German Embassy in Kuala Lumpur

3. A certified translation (the certification of the translation will be done at the Embassy) into the German language must be provided
