High-ranking Visitor from the Federal German Foreign Office in Kuala Lumpur for political Consultations

The Director-General for Political Affairs of the Federal Foreign Office, Ms. Sabine Sparwasser, has recently spent two busy days in Kuala Lumpur as part of a regional tour.
Arriving from Jakarta on the 18th of April, she had a bilateral exchange with  Deputy Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed. This was followed by political consultations with Deputy Secretary General of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, Y.M. Raja Nushirwan Zainal Abidin. After that, a reception at the German Ambassador’s Residence gave her the opportunity to meet Malaysian and international counterparts as well as representatives of German institutions and companies.

On Wednesday, Director-General Sparwasser had the opportunity to meet  with NGO representatives to get a more comprehensive impression of Malaysian politics and civil society issues.
She also called on the Head of the EU Delegation to Malaysia and met the employees of the German Embassy. Despite her busy schedule she managed to find time for a short stop at the "German Energiewende" Exhibition, which was on display at the Gallery Petronas.
