Cycling for a good Cause with the Crown Prince of Perlis
In April, Ambassador Holger Michael had an experience of the special kind, cycling for a good cause with the Raja Muda of Perlis.
By invitation of the Perlis Palace, the Ambassador cycled with the Crown Prince and his entourage through the countryside of Perlis, where they stopped at villages to distribute zakat (alms) and listen to the common people’s problems and complaints.
Ambassador Michael also had an audience with the Sultan of Perlis, which was followed by a dinner at the Palace. The next day he attended an international public lecture series at the Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and visited the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Library at the University Malaysia Perlis.
Perlis is the most nothern state of Malaysia, bordering Thailand.
