Minister of State Hoyer visits South-East Asia
Dr. Werner Hoyer, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, visited Malaysia from 07 - 09 August 2011, to strengthen political ties with this important partner of Germany in South-East Asia. Dr. Hoyer's tour of the region included Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Minister met with his counterpart at Wisma Putra, Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay to discuss political issues and had talks with the Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Dato' Seri Mohamad Nazri, and representatives from the civil society.
He attended a roundtable meeting with German company representatives and mingled with Malaysian and German guests during a reception, held at the Ambassador's Residence.
